mixing prints

today, since im going out to lunch with a friend, i decided to go a little dressier and wear my new maxi dress i got in chicago on wednesday. i had to hem it this morning (the length of maxi dresses is very important!) but that was super easy and worked perfectly. i wanted to do a scarf in my hair with it but, since i am in great need of new ones, i just used my sisters scarf. the prints work well together and i really like it. i key to mixing prints is having one big print and one small print and having a color (or two) in common with both prints. i think this worked quite well :)
